How to locate your memory dump file
Problem
After a server error you would like to locate the memory dump file to diagnose why the server hung or crashed.
Resolution
1) First right click on “my computer”
2) Then select properties
3) The, select the tab labelled ‘advanced’
4) Next select the Startup and Recovery option
5) The location can be found under ‘Dump file’ and the type of dump file generated can be set under ‘Write Debugging Information’
