The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory

In IIS 7 on server 2008  or Server 2012 and IIS 8 when you try to browse a site that is hosted in IIS 7 or IIS 8 you see the error message below.

As the error says this is an issue with directory listings being disabled. To allow browsing of the website folders in iis7 then follow this guide on how to enable directory listings in IIS 7

IT Solution

OK, so go to administrator tools and launch Internet Information Services Manager (IIS Manager ).

Once there open up your server on the left hand column, expand until you get to your site that you cannot see a directory listing of.

Once selected, on the right hand side you will see a ton of icons, double click Directory Browsing under the IIS option.

Now you are in the directory browsing applet, on the far right hand side click enabled to turn this feature on.

You will then get the option to enable other features. Go to a command line and enter IISRESET, and this is now done
