This appears to be quite a common problem with Windows 10 on release. When you go to the search option on the task bar and enter the application of file you want to find then it does not list the application you want to open, even though you know the application is installed.
This is down to the search index being corrupt in Windows 10, luckily we can rebuild the search index with a few clicks.
How to Rebuild Windows 10 Search Index
To rebuild the Windows 10 Search index the do the following as seen below:
- Select Windows Key and “X”.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Indexing Options.
- Select Advanced Options.
- Select rebuild index.
This may take a short while so be patient.
