Problem

Windows 7 and vista have files that are hidden by default, these files may config files, temp files or various other types of files. Sometimes even users will hide files. Follow the guide below on how to view these hidden files.

Resolution

System files are hidden as they are critical to the function of windows, make sure you have a good backup.

1. Open ” Windows Explorer” window

2. Select “Organize”

3.Select “Folder and search options”

 

4. Select “View” tab

5. Select “Show hidden files, folders, and drives”

 

6. If you want to show the hidden files and folders on your entire PCr, then select “Apply to Folders” button and apply. If you do not select this option then, you are changing the settings for the current folder only.

7. Click OK to complete
